I want - Ruger 22/45 LITE, model 3906

well, as I mentioned earlier, I put in my pre-order for this. I've also sent an email to a sponsor to hold the 22/45 LITE in blue they have. now I just have to find a gold LITE.

regarding those compensators you had made in the US. you said thank goodness for US family. were they able to just send them up to you, or did you have to fill out a crap load of paperwork to satisfy ITAR? when I get mine, I will be interested in compensators for them...and while I don't have family in the US, I do have friends.

thanks! :)

i just had it sent to them and they slapped my address on it and reshipped it up to me.
compensator's are not banned to export but the company that makes them is not cleared to export..... however that works, so they would have had to check to see where it was made and if that company had a export clearance for their products.
thankfully they done seem to give a hoot about $40 compensator's.
and had they stopped it and chucked it for the $40 plus $20 for shipping i would just keep ordering one a month till one made it through.

i originally picked up a Tac Sol comp but but decided i wanted something a little more personal.

and yes, it would be nice to find a young metal worker going through school who would take a passion to making parts for guns like these.
i know Dlask makes some comps but those are heavy metal ones more suited for ARs and such.
even if he did start making aluminum ones im sure the price would be double to what it currently costs to get them out of the states.

These are a must have

i want to get some metal targets just like this made.
i know a couple welding companies, i should just research what kind of metal and thickness and hardness i need and get them to make some.
shame that it so hard to get simple things like this up here.
well that and to have it shipped would cost a left nut.
metal is heavy, heavy costs lots to ship.
specially if your off the beaten path!

those dont even look very thick?

just one screw holding them on at the top?
i had one made last summer as an experiment by a local welding shop to test, thing is like 6" plate and is like 1" thick, damn thing weighs like 20lbs!
i think i may have had them go too thick if that pic above is accurate for what ya need for 22cal shooting!
