I would happily hunt damn near everything with this gun.

Nice!

I always wanted to get a big bore double rifle with three leaf express sight and I also wants to get a bolt action rifled slug gun (Tar-hunt / 210F etc).

Looks like this is the exact rifle I need (combine of both).

Do you know anybody makes solid sabot slug that doesn't expand thus give you the penetration for the big 5?:D

My first impression was WOW, until I started to look a little harder. They need to make a 12 gauge version and offer sets of interchangeable barrels. The 20 gauge is a nonstarter, at least in our market, but a set of barrels for upland and migratory shooting would make the package more appealing to many. I would prefer to see double triggers, and some folks would like an adjustment so they could choose either extractors or ejectors, depending on circumstances. As a cosmetic criticism, I think there should be a flat panel of wood behind the box lock, with a tear drop, like the classic double rifles, and there would need to be a live rubber recoil pad on a 12 gauge version. Despite the criticisms, it is an eye catching piece.

I'd be worried about the quality of the gun when they can't even spell "sabot" correctly.

I agree with all the above except for the drop points. The RBL is a rounded action and a flat stock panel with drop points wouldn't look as nice IMO.

wow i realy love it éi always said tc should make a double barrel 50 cal black powder oncore or prohunter it would make a great deer gun for us in shotgun only places DUTCH

make it 12 gauge and double trigger and we'll talk. Very pretty and a nice idea. Make it cheaper than H&H Doubles and you've got a nice new niche in the market.

Very beautiful piece!
It's quite expensive and looks like it has the quality (as per the website) to justify it too.

Not many set-ups come equipped with a leupold scope mounted either.:)

I have never used a 20g in a rifled slug set up or for that matter know anyone who has. It's a unique gun. Thanks for sharing.

See, and I think a 20 gauge is perfect for a gun like this. A 12 would be alot bulkier and heavier. A 20 gauge slug is still sending a big bullet, but with less recoil. And I agree it needs double triggers, but it's an option that's available. I think this would be the perfect set-up for most hunters. Especially the ones who shoot their deer at 400 yards that take 100 long steps to walk to. Anyone wanna loan me $4000?

It's actually spelt either way, interchangeably. While Sabot is technically correct, Sabbot is very common as well.

No man, :D I don't think so. Well, maybe for those who spell it wrong.

Sabot comes from the french word meaning clog. Hence, a "sabot" is what encompasses the projectile to creates a seal between the barrel and the projectile so the gases can propel it throught the barrel. Keeps the slug centered in the barrel too.

A "Sabbot" is the eigth spoke of a wheel in reference to the changing of the seasons and the eigth holiday in Wiccan lingo.

I agree that the 12 would require a larger framed gun, but the difference between a wand and a club is in the balance not the weight. Not being a slug hunter per say, I don't pay a great deal of attention to the regs, but it seems to me that, at least in some provinces, when hunting big game with slugs, its 12 ga only. To keep the gun on a small frame, a set of rifle barrels would be the answer, but you won't get that for $4K. Of course by the time you pay for the double triggers, presentation wood, and a set of barrels, it won't be $4K anyway; you will be approaching the range of the lower priced DR's.

After careful consideration I believe you are correct. The action should be square.

I would prefer that it be rifled for full calibre projectiles instead of sabot slugs, like a Paradox gun:

I think something like that would be more versatile. Choke tubes could also be used to switch between rifling and smoothbore for shot or slugs.
