I want to change the shotgun barrel from 28 inches to fully rifled barrel of 18.5 inches. Would I be able to use steel shot and buckshot ? (might be useful at some point) Thank you
 
No shot is only to be used in smooth bore barrels. Sabot slugs or combo slugs are all that is to be used in a rifled barrel.

What gun is this? Most rifled barrels are 24" .
 
Remington has a few styles of rifled barrel thy have a 20inch rifled barrel with sights and a 24inch with a cantilever scope mount ,thy also have a slug barrel that is smooth bore with sights that has screw in chokes ,this can be used with shot as well as slugs .a lot of guys go this route so thy can put a xxful choke for turkeys and a rifled choke for sabot slugs .you can slip a mod choke in to us rifled slugs and buck shot as well .might be the best of both worlds .you can shot shot thru a fully rifled barrel it just will not throw a even pattern but will work in a pinch Dutch
