I've read a lot of positives elsewhere about the Mossberg 930 which is in the same price range as the weatherby. From what I've read so far the 930 seems to load a bit better and has the walnut option for stocks too. Anyone here with personal experience on the Mossberg?

Thanks for all the feedback guys its very appreciated. I will be hunting grouse initally but I know I will be hunting ducks and camorans later.

Gotta disagree with ya on this one Superbrad. The 3.5 inch shells carry more payload & I have recently switched to a #2 steel shell from a #4 because the #2 carries almost the same # of pellets AND it hits harder! (Remember, the OP wants a do it all gun... If it was just an upland gun, then I would agree with you about the 2 &3/4...)
Yup, the Baikal MP153.
I've had several & LOVE THEM!!! Sold my last one in a moment of weakness to a buddy who just started hunting. I just ordered another one! And, for the first time I have a 24" barrel chosen because it was either 24" or 28" and I find the 28" to long... Not planning on letting this Baikal MP153 with synthetic stocks go this time!

I'd stick with the good modern shotguns - benelli, beretta, browning, winchester, or remington. Go see which one fits you best.
Check how they mount and swing for you. You might find one that fits better than the others. Many now have the shims to adjust how the stock will fit you - consider that aspect too.
Mine are all 28 inch barrels (11-87, beretta 302, and beretta 390 extrema). A 26 inch tube will shorter you gun up a bit, but not by much.
3.5 inch gun do have longer receivers, but you might not even notice that. I shoot only 3 inch out of my 12 gauges, but then again, I do shoot an SP-10 quite a bit too.
Sporting clays and duck shooting require shotguns that swing well. Check that aspect too.
As for Browning Auto-5s - they were a good gun in their day, and still are. But the newest one might be 30 years old, and aren't as easy to take down as the ones listed above.

I check there website often too, that's where I saw the Benelli SBE but he wants $1200 and won't budge at all on the price. I can get a brand new SBE 2 for just over $1400 at lebaron in Montreal so I decided if I was going to get a Benelli I would go with a new SBE 2.
I've been to McAdam once before and its a good 5 hour drive (10 hour round trip) so its quite far away to go just to window shop. I find his prices are not competitive and they won't deal.
