This little sweetheart is up on the EE right now and I really like what the owner did with it. My XCRL keymod has the plain Jane factory stock on it and I shoot it like a target gun. (If I want to run n' gun I will get a chopped AR or something similar).

I don't have any experience with Magpul or these stocks...would you fellas recommend them for target work...?

I've not used one on an XCR but the UBR is a very solid stock with an excellent cheek weld.

Hmpfffff!!!! Of all the bloody cheek!!! Why, I'm strongly tempted to word a strong letter of protest to the management for this effrontery!!!

I dunno why it is, but I shoot mine from the formal positions quite well. As a chit house service rifle I am just peachy with it. I admit the only reason I have it is because of the NR classification... But the damn thing has started to grow on me.

To answer your initial question, the UBR balances out the rifle nicely.

The problem is, the NEA stock adapter adds a good 2" to the LOP, and the UBR is a little longer than a standard collapsible stock to begin with. So unless you're some kind of giant, you will likely be running it fully collapsed. Your rifle will also be pretty long and you lose the folding stock feature.
