I wanted an X95 In M81 Woodland - Update - Now In MC Tropic

Looks great !

My concern with painting / cerakote on polymer and how that will stand up longer term

This is also my concern. The paints I used are Tamiya Acrylic ( ideal for plastic ). I didn’t clear coat. Time will tell.

They do but I would be worried about it chipping and flaking off as it didn't / couldn't adhere to the polymer properly. Then it's just like picking a scab you you just pick it off with your fingernail :)

I hear ya. The paint certainly “feels” like it’s sunk in nice ( 2 coats ) but I’m far from an expert. I believe the X95 main body is polymer so that’s a plus for adhesion. We shall see.

The tan and brown were not sitting well with me, and I have a thing for MC Tropic, so I replaced those two colours with two different shades of green and ended up with something like a MC Tropic colour scheme while keeping the M81 Woodland shapes/pattern. It’s hard to see in some spots but there are actually 3 shades of green. I much prefer this scheme. Thoughts?

Now it looks even closer to Czech Vz95

the update with the MC tropic pallet looks sick! love how it turned out. the little accents of black from the aluminum really set it off too! well done, you might have the nicest looking x95 on gunnuts
