I was at the dump today..

My stupid ##### of an aunt threw out all my grand fathers moose/elk/muley/whitetail racks. There was 40+ racks that she tossed out....Sold the big ones in garage sales. I hope my grand father haunts her til the day she dies!!!!! I know there was lots of big elk since he would only shoot herd bulls because he didnt care for the meat anyways.....

I have on my wall the small forkhorn rack of the last whitetail that my father shot, on the last hunt we shared before he passed away. That trophy is priceless to me. Your story makes me ill!

You can sell your antlers if they were taken under authority of a license, at least that's the case in MB. The license is considered a royalty fee, just like with trapped animals.
You can't sell sheds that you've found though, unless you get a permit. This I was told by a game warden, as I complained about a taxidermist advertising that he wanted to buy elk/deer/moose antlers.
This was a few years ago, hopefully it's been changed.

That is bull crap. He obviously didn't know what he was talking about. I was just having a conversation with Joe Johannesson from Manitoba Conservation. You can buy and sell sheds as long as they are only sheds.
