I was sure that I'd seen Grizz tracks but now I have the proof.

Hahaha, black bear...

I've seen griz in areas I reallllly did not expect to see them (and was not adequately equipt for)

had a griz sneak up on me on a mountain above the nahatlatch river... Only 30 ish KM for Boston Bar BC last summer..... Boston Bar!! for crap sakes.

We've had a few just over the pass at the end of the nahatlatch river, in the Rogers creek area, where I am working right now, in the last few years.

They trapped a Griz before it became a huge problem in Squamish a few years back (8-10 yrs) and took him up behind Manning Park and released him.
They tagged him and fitted with a radio tracking colar and after a few months general direction was back to Squamish, never ever did read any more if he made it back or made a turn for Boston Bar ;)
Anyways, dont want to hijack the thread further , but to say again thats a Nice looking Rug for someone .

Hmmm, I take my family camping up Nahatlatch quite often. Never ever saw any wildlife though. Methinks they wont approach a campground.

It's a griz alright!

I had a little trouble with one a couple weeks ago behind the house. He won't be coming back any day soon.

I seriously think I would change hunting locations. One bear, okay, I'd take the chance. 3? I'd go elsewhere if they are still hanging around come hunting season, even if one was a black bear. That second grizz looks a little bigger than I want to mess with.
Nice pics, BTW. Looking forward to more.
