The meaning I will own it till I die is sarcasm it means know one will likely pay $1,600.00 for a wingmaster . Other than a select few on this site not many will spend very many $’s for any shotgun . Shotguns to most is a tool for pest or varmit control . Some dedicated waterfowlers may spend a couple of grand on a semi but that is still because they want a quality hunting gun , usually black synthetic or camo .
Oh it will be shot asighned commeritves are not really collectables it’s still a wingmaster just a higher grade I like the 26” bbl .i have the box and goodies . It balances nice the light contour bbl’s are a nice configuration . I have collectables a1959 win model 12 20 ga they were called super field /grade solid rib exquisite wood high luster blue . That is a rare gun I hate the term rare to discribe scarcity but in this case it works
So what about the guys that spend $10,000+ for Trap and skeet guns? There are a lot of ways to enjoy sporting shotguns.
Not true
Tell me this one wasn't worth saving as one example
Also those model 12 collectables have peaked a few years ago which is why I downsized mine. Next generation don't want them and as us old guys die off prices are dropping big time.
Cheers

You in NS? Same here. Wow... that's some nice gun.
Yes from NS. That one is not mine, I do have the same gun but unfortunately not the case or picture
It is a winchester super x1 mississippi flyway
I just posted it as one example of some special runs that are worth not firing and saving
This wingmaster is one of them IMO but to each their own
Cheers
I have guns that were acquired in unfired condition and will remain so while in my care. For any model that will be kept unfired, I have similar guns that are shooters, so no loss of the experience of shooting them.
Continuing with the example of the super model (with apologies to real women everywhere), if you have dozens of super models at your disposal, you don't feel at all disadvantaged by keeping a few in the condition which preserves their highest possible value.
