I would like to know what your absolute favorite firearm you own is.

My absolute favorite is my sako deluxe 30-06. It's a little on the heavy side for a little lady, but hey it does the job & is a blast to shoot. I also love my browning buckmark (Nice lil .22 pistol).
It's fun to see everyone's preferences.

Tried...just can't do it!

I've read and can understand alot of the posts on this topic. I just can't decide. I have 3 or 5 that I would get rid of, and plan to as they don't affect me in any way good.
BUT...my favoriteS, Customized Savage 300wsm. Did the stock myself (finish, some shaping, pillar bedded and then glass) It's sorta heavy but this makes it fun to shoot. It's also VERY accurate.
Next is a 30-30 that was my Grand Fathers uncles. Passed from there to my father and then to me. I've only shot a couple of deer with it, but alot of targets (and gophers). It is a favorite because of the family history , looks and feel.
Next is an old French double Barrel, again passed on from my Grand Father. Dual triggers and hammers. It is no fun to shoot! When hunting with Gramps about 25-30 years ago I asked why he only loaded the one side of the gun. He said that the other barrel was Full choke, and he could'nt see far enough to use it? I loaded both barrels last year for some clay pigeon shooting at home...and found out the truth. BOTH barrels go off with the pull of one trigger, I'm big, but that hurt! Nostalgia and heirloom.
This post is getting long, so I will stop with those. I have 3 other favorites, for the same and different reasons. Sorta like picking your favorite Child...very tough if not impossible to do.

I love them all equaly.
sice if have only three and every one is in a different class I have to love 'em
all;
rifle K98 in 8x57, shotgun is a 410 and the .45ACP as side arm.

Double barrel 12 gage coachman, I blast everything through...slug...shot. Just plan fun. The only practical use is to keeps the bears out of your sleeping bag.

This one. It's a Ruger #1H in 405 Winchester. Don't know why, but it is just so much fun to shoot -- and it ROCKS!
 
That is a damned tought question. Probably my 1891 Mosin Nagant. Not so much the rifle, but who owned it. My great grandfather, God rest his soul. Every time I think of him, I think of that rifle, and vice versa.
 
thats a hard one to answer, right now I would say my s&w m&p9mm but only because it's the newist one of the bunch. but my ruger 10/22 is a very close second it's the one gun that always comes to the range or camping with me, it's fun and cheap to shoot
 
Custom Dumoulin FN bolt chambered in 358 Norma mag. 26 in chrome moly barrel, timney trigger, Black & Orange marble Mcmillan stock. Great gun to shoot. Shoots any 250 gr. bullets into 1/2 inch at 100 yds
 
My favorite has to be my stainless Ruger 10/22.
I have not added a bunch of after market stuff to it, or "pimped" it out a bunch. I had a trigger job done and mounted a Weaver 2-7 Rimfire scope for optics. I did at one point have a folding stock on, but went back to the factory wood.

It is definitely one of the few that I will NEVER sell. I may buy ans ell and mod out a few other 10/22's in the future, but I will always have this one just the way it is...
 
I am not sure how to answer that. It's just that, I'm always a 1911 guy. But I always use my USP9 for IPSC. It just works better for me. But for other shooting, it's always my 1911 plus it's really nice to look at.
