I would like to know what your absolute favorite firearm you own is.

back in 91 I brought a m77 ruger rem all weather rifle 7mm. yeah I know its butt ugly, what with the hollowed out stock and all. how can I explain it , kind of like a guy who has a ugly wife but loves her I suppose.:) And to me its got that look of, Iam here to do business. Not to mention its put a ton of meat in my freezer over the years.

My all time favorite is my Ruger Mini-30 ( which beat out my mini-14) Good for skunk up to deer. Great for around the yard. Low recoil, low signature. I'll keep shooting till the surplus dries up, THEN, I'll reload the empties!

I have a Savage 12FV in .223 that shoots the cheapy Winchester 40 gr JHP and the 55gr PSP very well. They are so much cheaper that I haven't shot anything else in it for a few years. I bought a couple of boxes of the premium ammo and braved the snow to go to the range yesterday. My 100 yard groups were OK at 3/4", I was getting 2" at 200. I was blown away when I got a 2 1/4", 5 shot group with the 55 gr Federals, and 2" from the Hornady Varmint Express at the 300 yard mark.

I just might have to treat that gun to a scope upgrade....All I have on it right now is a 5-15X40 Bushnell Legend.

By far my favorite gun!

A custom lefthanded Sako in 7mm STW.
Has harvested 17 big game animals over the last 8 years.
Weighs approx 8 lbs scoped and loaded, smooth action, and a joy to carry and shoot. Has produced 3" groups at 400 yards (when I do my part) with factory ammo.
