ice fishing

havent been out yet this year because ive been too lazy:redface: but heres a couple shots from last winter...

gotta love the look eh:redface: :) ran out of propane for the heater and i was freezing. couldnt even use the reel because my fingers were so cold i couldnt move them. perch bite continued after dark which doesnt happen often.

we would have caught maybe 1/4 of those fish if it werent for my aqua vu underwater cam. youd be surprised how many bites you get that arent even detectable with a spring bobber. that cam has saved my ass from getting skunked many times;)

do you,s have a hut?or do you,s do it the man way??????????.........a line out the window of your truck??

The proper technique is to tie the line to your windshield wipers so you can jig without getting your hands cold.....:D

Was out with my best man for our annual Lake Simcoe outing. We got out late (8:30) with Flyod Hales out of Beaverton and marked a couple good Lakers on the Lawrance in the morning but they were skiddish to say the least. We got it going after 1:00 with a 5lb laker on the rod followed 10 min latter with a 8lb'r on the tip-up. It was game on again in 30 min with a 6lb'r and a 7lb'r in another 20 min. In a matter of 2 1/2 hours we limited out on Lakers and went over to Whities....30 min into that got us a 6 lb'r on the spreader. A good day....the new Lawrance was pounding away all day and was amazing to say the least! The 107 DF colour with 4000 Peak to Peak gets the job done in style. Didn't have to fight to see our lines at 52 feet at all.
