... Perhaps worth consideration, but the 44 magnum is widely available in "Lever Guns", and even though hard to find, also in Semi Auto Carbines ( Ruger) .... David K
I have a 44 magnum ranch hand but I can't shoot it one handed because of the angle of the stock, I'd like to try a real handgun. I tried the s&w 460, 500 and desert eagle 50 ae I know those are not for me, I'm trying to find a comfortable /big punch gun.if you are thinking about it, just buy one, you won't regret.. .. go for a S&W , nothing else ....

.... Ruger produced their 44 Magnum Carbines with both the Magazine version and one with a a tube fed magazine ( Deerfield ).. Very handy little Carbines, and I'd like to have one myself. Regrettably, but they don't often come up on the market, and when they do, a little out of my price range. ......I think if Ruger were to reintroduce them into the Market, there would be buyers for them. Niche perhaps, but there never the less. ...... David K

The mag-fed is the Deerfield (I have two...my favorite rifle) while the tube fed version was called the deer slayer originally, then changed to the simple "44 carbine".
