ID of Helmet Decal

Can anyone tell me if this helmet decal has any significance, or if it even belongs on a helmet? It's on a Tommy.

Thanks. I guess British helmets were refurbished in Norway after WWII. Didn't know that.

It's on a Brit helmet? That's unusual. They are usually found on captured German helmets.

I have seen the Norvegian coat of Arms on Ex-German WW2 helmets and on British WW2 tanker helmets, but its a the first time I have seen them on a British MII helmet, nice find.

Things Military in Calgary had a bunch just like that a few years ago.

SORRY TO BURST your baloon, we impoprted thousands of these several years ago.... Sold all over Canada and the USA. SOme helmets were British, some were Canadian in origin.

I have the same helmet ...use to have the matching rifle..imagine a K98 rebarrelled in 30-06!!...old foes united for Norwegian service

I have the same decal on a German helmet, but thought someone had just stuck it on. Always made me wonder if the helmet was from the war or a repo.
