ID this Canadian rifle?

I googled C7CT and the very first picture that pops up is this one of Kev without a head. 
This is what I was looking for and of course once again it is Kevin but this time with an actual C7CT.

The reason that they are not wearing the red cross is that the after action reports are saying that the Taliban are TGTing medics ie the Red Cross does make an excellent Target. Also the wearing of the RC is to identify the wearer as a protected persons, not normally associated as a combatant. But since the current War we are involved in does not actually have OPFOR that is a signatory to the convention its a give and take in this secenario.
