So with the amazing deal i got on a Poly Tech m14, the owner threw this in aswell.

Don't know much about m14's or the mounts, so any help on Id'ing this would be great.

It has no markings on it.

I have seen something that looks like it on Marstar the LP-MNT-914.
its sold out and 90 bucks. so if it is that mount is it any good?

Is it worth keeping or is it entry level? if entry level is it worth anything in resale?

I dont mind paying for a better mount if this is entry level.

Thanks in advance all.

Steel or Alloy........???? I would junk it if it is aluminum.........

It would be an entry level mount.

From looking on the Marstar site, that is the mount you have there.........

Are the marstar mounts any good?

As I posted previously, they are an entry level mount. There are much better ones out there........but you pay more for them......

If you are building a serious precision M14 type rifle, then you will want to have one of the better mounts......

Just a few.........

-Smith Enterprises
-Sadlak Industries
-Brookfield Precision (if you can find one)
-A.R.M.S. #18

Personally I like the Smith Enterprises mount........One of the more popular ones is the ARMS #18.........

Avoid Aluminum mounts...........such as the Springfield Armory III Gen Mount........
