Left: Greenwood & Batley, standard Mark 7 ball, cordite propellant, made 1939 in the UK. Defence Industries, standard Mark 7 ball, nitrocelllulose powder, made 1944, Canadian. Cartridges are stripped from the charger into the rifle. Right: 8x56R for M1895 Mannlicher straight pull rifle. Charger and cartridges go into the rifle, empty charger exits through bottom.

I tried to form some 7.62x54r into 8x56, forgot about thr cream of wheat & just used bread to hold the powder in. Didn't form a thing but made some really small pieces of toast!

I have 3 clips of the 8x56R (15rnds) I going to keep them im sure i have the rifle for them somewhere in my vault

now i also have some 8mm mauser i think the headstamp is 7,9 1937
