Just got confirmation from the Match Director that my registration has been processed. :dancingbanana:

There are still spots left but apparently are filling fast. Anyone intersted in going should send in their registrations ASAP.....

Ammo is made; Gun is cleaned and prepped; Bag is packed; paperwork (for crossing the border) is in order. Will be leaving tomorrow morning with a fellow Albertan (three others had to regretfully back out) for the drive down to southwesternern Idaho. I'm quite excited.....

Shot the match today and once again, the Parma Rod & Gun Club put on an EXCELLENT match. The day started off with a steady downpour but the weather cleared up after we'd shot a couple of stages. Ther rain came back in the afternoon and we shot our last two stages in the rain too.

There were lots of moving targets and the Kubota and the lawn tractor were included in this year's match as well. Regrettably, the lawn tractor stage had to be tossed because it broke down as the last squad was shooting the stage.

I ended up with a third place ESP/EX finish (out of 5 shooters in the class) with a time of 219.85(76).

Greg H., also of ATHL, finished 12th SSP/MM (out of 18 shooters in the class) with a time of 341.92 (can't recall his points down).

I'm uploading photos and videos as I type this but I won't have a chance to post any tonight as we're getting up early for the 16 hour drive home tomorrow. I'll likely post some on Monday.

Stay tuned......

The guys from Parma Rod & Gun have put together a great video of their 2008 Idaho IDPA State Championships. And I'm in it! I'm the shooter getting out of the red car on Stage 5 (at around the 4:10 mark in the video).

IDPA members should make a point of going to next year's match. It's tentatively scheduled for Saturday, September 19th, 2009.
