Idea: Canada legal PDW

What could work is if we menage to convince KelTec to produce two different mags, one labeled pistol ond one rifle.

I don't disagree with the spirit of your argument. I am however a realist and mine is the I want it right now answer, yours is the far preferable 10 year plan.

Had everyone said that ten years ago we might still have the LGR. I also want what I want immediately, but I want it all! Sorry to infringe on the "let's come up with a new gun that someone should build just for us "right now" realism thread." I see we all have dreams, they're just different from each others. If you convince someone to build one of these little bad boys I'd buy one. I should have a few years to save up before they're conceived, designed, tested, manufactured, distributed, and then finally receive an FRT.

I really don't think the problem is in the restricted vs nonrestricted class's, what needs to happen is the destruction of the need for ATT's. If I'm licensed to own restricteds then you can be damn sure I'm gonna be transporting them. there's no reason why I shouldn't be able to take any of them to the same places I take my non restricteds to shoot or hunt.
Agreed. But if I'm licensed to buy a .338 lapua or .50 BMG why the hell do I need to register my .22 pistol? Why ar ARs more dangerous than SKSs. I should shut up, I know we're all on the same side, I'm just frustrated at the lack of a common voice in the gun community. Have a good night gents.

handgun 10 rifle unlimited.. unless it works in both

Or it's designed/marketed to work in both, in which case you're limited to 10.

Why don't we just keep working on our politicians to get rid of the different classes of firearms? De-restrict the AR and short barrels, and your problem is solved without having to convince someone to manufacture anything new. The problem isn't the lack of firearms available that work within our our laws, the problem is our laws.

I'll echo twisted's sentiments: the problem isn't the classification, it's the lack of an integrated ATT and range-only restrictions. This doesn't just apply to AR's; how many people with a 14" Benelli M4 would like to take it out beyond the range? Address those and 99.9% of the issues with restricted firearms are resolved.
