Yes. It will co-witness at any rear sight setting. Mine gives roughly a bottom 1/3 co-witness, the same way I set up my AR.

What mount do you have on your T1?

I also have the NEA handguard and the Vortex Strikefire, but am using the low tactical ring. This gives you absolute co-witness, which is great because you can use the iron sights anytime you want. I have the red dot zeroed at 100 yds and can go with iron sights if I want to shoot beyond that.

here is a picture of my setup with Leupold. I am pretty happy with it. The cheek piece is not in photo. When I shoot irons I just use the stock as is, when I use a scope I put the cheek piece on.

This is Burris PEPR. No issues with eye relief. Leupold is very forgiving in this respect.

With a low mount on the Aimpoint micro, you also get a perfect co witness.

In that case, I might have to get my hands on one of those low mounts at one point!

Only problem for me is that I am a bigger guy, and I have to get my head down uncomfortably low to get the irons to line up

I've not found one scope mount for the VZ V8 that gives me everything I want. So I just went back to irons.

I want a solid scope mount that you don't have to remove and that will give you access to irons. I've tried the NEA mount. I've tried the AK 47 style side mount. I've tried the Scout mount. None of them give me what I want.

+1. I just don't see the point in mounting optics on mine either. The only upgrade I might make are those fiber optic sights if I ever decide to take my CZ 858 out hunting.
