I doubt it’s circa WWII

That looks a lot like Damascus and if it is it’s almost certainly pre WWI.

Can you do an in focus closer shot of the barrel markings. Plus what, if anything is on the gun in terms of name. Top rib? Side of the action? Anywhere.

It's Belgian, and the crown over PV means it's for smokeless (so not Damascus). Your picture is hard to see - if that's a lion over the PV it's still smokeless, but of a different era. The choke shows the constriction - there are plenty of resources online to sort that out. The link below will answer all your questions.

Many many Damascus barrelled guns were proofed for smokeless.
