Identify this shotgun!

The proof mark is " EastGerman definative smokeless proof" according to Balderson.s official guide to gunmarks, third edition. There is no picture of a human in that style, hope this helps,JITC

The "TW" on the anvil shows that this shotgun was produced by the "Thalmann-werke" co-operative after WW2, when all of the high-end gunmakers in Suhl were collectivized. Ernst Thalmann was a Communist who was killed by the Nazis during the war, so after the war, the communists in charge of the DDR named several things after him. The smith with the anvil was used for a long time before either WW1 or 2, and if you go to Suhl, there's a statue in the town square that looks like the logo on the bottom of the shotgun; see http://www.gunmaker.org/index.html , a page that goes to a gunsmithing school in Suhl.
