Identifying a Mauser Bolt Question

Gentleman:

I was digging in the bottomless parts bin, and I came up with a Mauser bolt with a .308 boltface. It will not fit my parker hale .308 on a 1200 action. It is the correct length, however the right locking lug is too large.

It has the same style bolt shroud as the Parker Hale. Any ideas?

Most PH Midland's used a variant of the Springfield 03 bolt.

I have several Midlands and a couple of Alpines and they are for sure K98s in disguise. They certainly were also abunch based on the 03s

Do you mean the right forward locking lug or the third rear lug? If it appears larger and a different profile than a Mauser's rear lug it is likely a modified Springfield bolt.
