Identifying non-mim extractors?

Hey guys,maybe this belongs in the black shotgun section;

Is there a way to identify a non-mim extractor from a standard mim extractor? Say you spot one on the EE or at a gun show? Or is it just an honour system?

Are they actually a justifiable upgrade? How many people out there have actually broken an mim extractor? Or just worth while piece of mind at $20?

Worth it yes because they grab and wear better IMO. Breaking is another issue

It’s really clear when you see it in front of you that one is stamped and one is machined.

Cool, so not only is it definitely visible, but you don't have to look too closely (remove the extractor). Thanks for sharing your knowledge guys.
