I don't know much about IDF K98's, but came across this rifle and wonder what their value is in Canada? It has IDF service markings and chambered in 7.62X51.
Original German long eye relief scope apparently also used in IDF service. Thanks for any info!

ZF 41 scout optic is calibrated for 8mm if it’s the real deal. Likely the 7.62 NATO was used here but not as accurately as you think. (Super hard and complicated to zero fyi).

Worth some $$ for sure if it’s an all matching #’d K98k despite being converted for the IDF.

Rare bird I think as my Norwegian converted as similar to this despite the mount and optic being reproductions..
 
Looks to be a new repro stock. The new Isareli k98s had beech wood stocks with no takedown disk. Band retainment was also different. I also don't see the 7.62 branding. Based on that and the very black matte finish, I would guess it's not in any IDF configuration, therefore the scope could be a repro or just added recently. Repro sling also.
The whole thing looks great, I'd like to shoot it!
 
IDF rifles did have cleaning rod's. I have two original IDF 98k sniper rifles and they have 4x scope's. I would be truly suspect

The trajectories of the 150 grain 30 cal bullet and the 8mm ballistics data with 150-174 grain ammo is as close as kissing cousins. Very similar velocities and SDs
 
Thanks for the replies. Yes, definitely a replacement stock but the barrel/action has all the marks of an IDF conversion with matching numbers. Scope is original. Highly doubt this came from Mitchels Mausers because the rifle is not from the US. I just would like to know the ballpark price for IDF mauser conversions in Canada? Thanks.
 
OK, so it is a restocked Israeli 7.62 conversion with a ZF41 scope. Any evidence that the Israelis installed the scope?
If not, there are two values - the scope, and the restocked Mauser.
