I have asked that exact question. I believe they have been designed and built prior to the stupid CDN cutoff, so we should be able to have them here. I suppose someone like IRunGuns needs to bring a few in and we see what happens.
At $2500 usd, they won't be cheap here but it does look like a nice rifle. Well designed and built.
This is a good review. Shows the guts etc.
My buddy and fellow QM dumped a ton of bad guys past 800m with an M4 when contracting in Iraq.
He unlike most soldiers and civilians can shoot well. The global standards for military marksmanship are horrific so effectiveness past 200m really doesn't matter.
My highest 1-12 with a C7/C79 was 565, Stag 4R/OS4 575, Space Gun/Zeiss 5-25 595
For all you civvies, what Gunnerlove alludes to is the Canadian Forces Small Arms Concentration (CFSAC) matches. There are 12 service rifle matches varying from 100m - 500m. Shooting positions are from prone, sitting/kneeling and standing. There are also rundowns to next firing point as well as mandatory mag changes, moving targets as well as snaps. All is timed as well. HPS is 600 so, getting a score of 595 is exceptional. Back in 80's I've done these matches using iron sights and though the scores were not quite as high, scores in the high 400's were not uncommon. An even more interesting factoid is that the Canadian Rangers did the same matches using the No4 Mk1* Enfields. Riflechair here can expand on this.
