IDing Snider carbine

[dudley]

1866. BSA. MK1*. 19.2 barrel. Brass buttplate, trigger guard and side nail cups. Ramrod is filled in.
10 RC is the regimental markings.
Any assist would be helpful.

Probably a cadet carbine. Pics help. Does it have a trap in the butt plate?

[dudley]

No trap in the butt. Has the bead sight so I believe a cadet.

Could it be RG? 10th Battalion was a Toronto Militia which was designated 10th Batt Royal Grenadiers 5 Aug 1881.
Concur that it is a cadet carb.
