Hi guys,

I have heard a lot of rumors that an IDPA branch would be starting in the Edmonton area. But everyone I ask doesn't seem to know any details. So does anyone on CGN have any info??

I'd definitely come check that action out, for sure - I'd like to compete in pistol sport eventually (I used to shoot on the national team for shotgun, but have given it up because of politics, lack of resources, and infighting) but would like to check out some IPSC or IDPA shoots as an observer so I can get a feel for the flow-and-go of the whole thing.

The next IPSC Alberta Level II Qualifier is at Spruce Grove on September 16th and 17th. Come out and watch for a bit, that's all it takes to get hooked :)

Thanks for the invite, I already shoot IPSC occasionally. And Wild Rose Action Shooting too. But I would love to expand into IDPA. Don't get me wrong, IPSC is fun, but I want more practical and realistic shooting matches, not just an equipment race like in Open Class IPSC. (which is why I shoot Production Class, hence CZ Man). It seems that a lot of people are interested in IDPA. What would it take to start IDPA in Edmonton?
