The eastern Ontario Handgun Club will be hosting it's first IDPA match on the 18th(Sunday) of October 2009. This was the match that was to take place at the end of July but everyone seemed to be out of town.

I'm planning on 6 courses (2 ranges in use, 3 courses each) of fire and a round count of 114.

The only detail I'm not sure of is if there will be a lunch available or not.

9 am and 1 pm are the squad start times. $20 entry fee. $10 extra if you want to shoot it twice.

Setup for this match is Saturday the 17th. If you are available please drop in. Many hands make light work.

Hi

I've just heard from my partner in this venture, A BBQ lunch will be offered if we get more then 20 signups.

Also for all those from La Belle Province that need a short term ATT please get a hold of "leadslinger" on this board.

Thank you.

Dont worry, we will have someone there slinging burgers.
I think some guy named "FREMEN" said he would cook :)
or one can go into village of Hammond (6kms away) to a very fine establishment,
called "Mikes Place".

Does anyone in the Ottawa area provide any of those certification courses?

There are IDPA instructors in the Ottawa area that can provide IDPA holster certification. CGN Moderator RePete is the person out that way to contact, also go to the IDPA Canada web site and all of the instructors in your area will be listed there with contact information.

Well if you made the match, you had a great time,
(well i did anyways.)
For those that didnt make it, you missed a great match.
Started out a little cool, but clear sky's made it a near perfect day.
It warmed up very nicely.
Once again STICKER put on a great and challenging match.
This was EOHC's first IDPA match, and plans are in the works for more next year.
So come and join the fun.
Thanks again STICKER, good job,
the exec thanks you.

IDPA Match at EOHC

What a great way to end the outdoor shooting season. Sticker's stages were fun and sneaky (at lot like Sticker himself). A modest turnout for EOHC's first IDPA match but next year will be bigger and better. Thanks to all who made the effort to ensure this match happened.

A tip to the "None threats" at a match.
When the gun fire starts, hit the deck!!
i repeat, hit the deck!!
ps
the suprise house stage was a good equalizer.

Yup, the no threat targets caught hell at this match, more so then usual.

I would like to thank the guys that help me setup on Saturday, the participents on Sunday, and the four guys from Quebec that came down to watch the match and helped with the patching. Never had targets get patched so fast:)
