Idpa Saturdays to include two ranges

Right you are ... Saturdays may have to move to two cof on two ranges active at the same time... We are doing something right I think if numbers of shooters are fueling this need:D:rockOn:

Saturday did indeed see a great new group of shooters...I think we'll soon need to break off into 2 groups on our Saturday shoots, otherwise we'll only have time for one stage.

Great meeting everyone!

Great of course i have to work on the day the classifier is on .. i knew this was going to happen ... its fate.

Is the 14th the only classifier ? It would be 2 pm in the afternoon before i would even get to the range and thanks to our stupid laws i cant take my gear and restricted to work with me in the trunk...

i think im fornicated...

There will be two more before the Provincial match.

I don't know about Ontario but it's perfectly OK out west. I do it all the time.

True. You absolutely CAN take restricteds to work with you in your trunk. You CAN even wear them loaded in a holster. You CAN do many things...and then you CAN go to jail and you CAN have a bum go from o to O. The world is a wonderful place and you CAN do many things!

And hey I don't see any "newshot" on any sign up lists yet this year?

I'll tell you what. You can take your misconceptions and self-impose all the restrictions you want. Knock yourself out.

He's one of three things:

1. Criminal
2. Law enforcement
3. Range Employee/Owner

Last time I looked I had my guns registered at a federal level.....guess I got it wrong...I understood the west was part of Canada with the same rules as the rest of the CA world. Dudes ...If you put yourself out there that your working outside the box you put all of us under scrutiny that we operate that way too. Especially if your are on park benches eyeing little girls with bad intent!

If the issue here is being allowed to keep your firearm, locked the way it is supposed to be, in your vehicle while you are at work because you are going to the range right after work, that is perfectly legal.

I wouldn't take Steve's advice here if it's a restricted call 1-800-731-4000 as they repeatedly told us in the CSSA club level safety course. :p

EDIT: Unless someone considers driving to work a reasonably direct route? But even if your work was a reasonably direct route justifying keeping the gun in your trunk for 8 hours or so would be a tough one in my opinion. Would love to discuss this on another thread. Sorry for the hijack here fellas!

Well , it would be a throw up decision . its obviously a restricted . I work at Napa , which is on O connor drive by canadian tire , i live on portsmouth .

The most direct route is down portsmouth , down john counter and up division street . however i could argue that taking 401 is just as fast however its in the other direction .. and its a 5 hour shift , so not as bad but still pretty bad... and yes the wording of the ATT is what worries me .

Then I guess you should not be stopping at Tim Hortons on the way home from and IDPA match either.

cbabes, by the way, I already made the call for you and the CFO confirmed to me on Friday this is perfectly fine to do.
