IDPA New Shooter orientation course Ponoka AB Spring 2013

The New Shooters course will be at Ponoka Fish and Game Association on June 4 and 11. The course will be from 6-930. Dinner will be provided (Kentucky Fried Chicken). Details will go up on the Ponoka Website next week. There are only 12 spots. To reserve a spot email robertpaddon@hotmail.com
 
This is an entry level course. It will teach you about the sport of IDPA, its rules, and shooting techniques. You will need an IDPA approved holster, stock issued handgun, 3 magazines, magazine pouches, 200 rounds ammunition, ear defenders, safety glasses, concealment garment. If you are short equipment contact me as I have equipment I can loan you.

You must have basic handgun proficiency to take this course e.g. you can safely operate your handgun and can shoot a grouping at 10 yards.
Course dates: June 4 & 11 at the Ponoka Fish and Game Club.
June 4 is the classroom portion, bring your handgun, holster, gear, etc. We will be doing dry-fire drills.
June 11 is the range portion, bring you handgun, holster, ammo (200 rounds) etc.
You must attend both nights to complete the course.
Course times are 6 PM - 930 PM. Supper will be provided (Kentucky Fried).
Cost is $40 for the course. Pay by EMT. To register email robertpaddon@hotmail.com

We did the first night of the IDPA new shooter course tonight. Thanks to Lindsay and Candice for the help. Next Tuesday we do the shooting portion.
 
Any chance another course will be offered? I'd definitely be interested. Wanted to attend this one but my wife was due on the 4th. Wish I'd known the little one would be 4 days late ;)
 
Dear Rob,
I am a member at Pofianga and interested in both IDPA and IPSC courses and competition. I was unable to attend the last course when will more of these courses be at Pofianga?
