IDPA promotional video

Ya good, better if you could get rid of that pathetic music. I'm surprised they aren't shooting those things sideways.

Whats the point of this? To shoot like 8 targets from 5 yards away? This video seems boring and doesn't make me want to join the sport. I have seen videos that are alot better, have way more action and are accually fast and they are shooting further then 5 yards

any clips from the Matt Burkett Dvd's. Also try some clips from the SuperSquads.

If you think this one sucks, please help me find some promotional videos for IDPA/IPSC that are better. Not just video taken at a competition but something similar to this that would get a newbie excited about trying the sport.

I've already got the one by the NSSF:

I like that one ....no people shaped targets..

I think those other links are provided. That first one was just bad imo but it did get better closer to the end but they were still shooting from like sometimes 2 feet away

The point to shooting this is the close in stuff. Most gunfights happen
in a few feet, not like those benchresters at 100 and 200. Unless you're
looking to put a leo 6.5x20x50 scope on your sig.

Yeah, I liked the first video because I already knew what IDPA was about. For those that don't however, they probably wouldn't get the fact that you are acting out life-like CCW scenario's in a contest environment. The later videos looked more like hollywood shootouts, but those video's would probably be perceived as more exciting/interesting to the general public.

I guess it all comes down to who you are trying to market the video to.

I seen that. Starts off like an El Presidente (sort of), but hands down. I generally turn strong arm/side as less likely to break 90, but maybe turning the opposite way allows for a proper movement of the coat (?)

I suppose that they just don't like the video because it is an IDPA indoor. Indoor isn't as flexible for IDPA setups. I never thought of the drop cloth idea though for indoor. I like IDPA, and once my main handgun is replaced I'll hopefully be in the thick of it.

BTW, If anyone knows of a way to DL Youtube videos to local HD's, please PM me as I'd like to keep some of these clips.
