Hello guys/gals,

Is it me or is the IDPA rulebook a bit vague?

For SSP

1) Am I allowed to reduce/increase the trigger pull weight to whatever weight I want? If not, what is the minimum trigger pull weight (IDPA rulebook does not specify this)?

2) In the IPSC rulebook, there is a diagram illustrating the borders as to where you can apply grip tape on the gun. IDPA does not have this, but allows grip tape to be used. Does this mean I can (for argument's sake) cover the entire frame in grip tape?

Idpa has no minimum pull weight provided it doewnt produce an unsafe firearm.

The back straps and front strap can be covered. ..can't recall about the slide though

IPSC Production is the only difference ie requires a 5# minimum pull. USPSA and IDPA have no limitations on trigger pull for any of their divisions.

Take care

Bob

HI;I tried grip tape on the frame. It eats meat off your fingers ,not good.

I have put skate board tape on the back of the grip on my CZ's and on the face of the front of the grip and it has been ok. My M&P's have skate board tape on the bgrips and again it isn't bad. I guess it depends on what you are looking for. I'm not sure, in my case, it has helped or hindered much. If it is cutting into your hands than I would say it isn't worth the effort.
