wish I was there, these 16 hourdays are killing me, I have no life and look like a zombie myself.... pretty bad when I have to pull over and nap on the way home. my brain is fried.
 
Had our first night shoot tonite. Great fun. Slight drizzle wasn't much of a bother. Shooting through lube smoke lit up by your flashlight brings dnew meanig to the words, "Where and heck did the target get to". On top of that it was pitch black tonite with no moon and no ambient light.

Wes wish you were here for this one. You would only be shooting the minimum rounds required tonite.:D

Its like the old fat person walking down the nude beach, you know you shouldn't look, you keep telling yourself not to look but you just can't help it.
 
To bring things back on track. I know we had a good off topic thread going but I just read in the Nov / Dec 2008 Front Sight magazine (USPSA) about some of the US Forces in Baghdad that have started a league over there and they quoted some of the soldiers (guys / gals on the front line). We may want to relook at some of the things quoted on here by those of us who aren't currently in harms way.

Here are some quotes.

Master Sergeant Finn Carlton appreiciated the enphasis on technical skiils. "Normally we don't get the chance to focus this much on pistol shooting. And I feel like the techniques I've learned [in competition] carry over when I am patrolling with my long rifle."

The club's top female shooter, Captain Erika Chabalko, echoed his comments. "It serves two purposes. It's recreational, but these techniques definatly have real world applications."
