Was a member in IPSC Alberta, went to work in the US and didn't make any shoots for a couple years....so BB expired etc and I'm not sure if I want to take the Black Badge course over again if I am going to try IDPA, not to mention when I would find time to do it. I liked IPSC but it got very competitive....almost too much so for me.

I found the IDPA Canada site, but seems to not be working. Anyone here I can contact to ask questions?

(this all came to light because my LTATT is being stripped upon renewal in a couple weeks of it's 3 province unless I provide valid IPSC or IDPA card for 2012)

No need for the BB for IDPA. You are already holster trained, that does not expire with IDPA. Join IDPA, very cheap, and keep your nifty ATT intact. Get out and give it a try.

Excellenty. SO simply do the membership APP at the IDPA site and then register and sign up over at the Alberta site? Excellent.

First match sign up here I come. Are there practice times to meet some people?

Generally speaking, yes.

However the first match doesn't require a membership, only an entry fee. You get to "try before you buy".

Your case is a bit different.

Practice times and dates are usually posted in the Forums section of the MyATHL website.

www.idpacanada.ca is the website address and it is wokring fine now. The ATHL is the only club in Alberta. Get hold of Jim S., his contact info is on our website under the Provincial Section on the left side of the Home page.

Take Care
