I just picked up a M70 Extreme Weather, and it has some asthetic appeal to me. I won't be posting pics until I get it scoped properly.

My M700 6.5-06 will also be a looker when finished, with it's spiral fluted bolt and everything.

I do have an appreciation for the classic deep bluing and well figured walnut in a firearm as well, but am not the right guy to own that in a rifle. A nice O/U shotgun might be in the cards for me one day (I have always liked the Citori) But I take rifles into places that I wouldn't take a nice peice of wood.
 
The ###iest rifle in my life isn't one of my own, so I don't have a picture of it at the moment.

It is my Grandfathers old Browning bolt action .243. Not 100% sure if its a "BBR". All metal surfaces are a deep blue, with an engraved floorplate. The Browning buck is engraved into the trigger guard. The front sight has a "bronze?" bead. Very dark wood on it. Playing this all by memories from about 7-8 years ago, it hasn't left the safe since that time area.
 
Sako AV. Wish I had a pic of mine in 300 WM, it has the most gorgeous stock of any wood stocked rifle I've ever held and the bolt feels like it's gliding on bearings, smoother than any of my tikka/sakos of varying ages. Never letting that one go!

Choice piece of wood Eagleeye. It's been a while since I've seen a piece of wood with that degree of fiddleback defination.

This is a picture of a factory 30-06 Husqvarna Light Weight model 4000 I inherited from my Dad. A nice piece of wood;) but doesn't compare to yours.
 
I guess I'll throw my 0.02c in too. The last few years I have taken a real liking to nice bolt actions. I was also going through a camo gun phase but I think that has just about passed. Next gun will probably be a nice wood stocked bolt gun (after an M-14!) But for now this one gets lots of good comments.

I would for sure be paranoid of putting that unit down out in the bush:eek:
for fear of losing it.
The cammo is strong on this one.....:p
