If CCW was legal in Canada, which of your handguns would you carry?

I'd have to go shopping for a new snub...

No point in going half-cocked :D

Glock any caliber >9
G29 with 'normal' length barrel would be ideal.
A scandium frame colt 1911 would be ###y, but who would see it?

Just googled that, and if the 1911 actually is made with scandium....I might actually need to get one some day...

Roger (great guy) at shooterschoice dot ca (great place to shop) has one listed for 1200ish. (scandium commander)

(most ever brackets in two line post award goes to...) me!

Only thing I have that makes sense is my BHP loaded with federal HST2 147gr JHP 9mm. Would definitely need to buy a good rig to conceal that sucker.

If I could, I'd get something in a LC9 / PM9. But I'd settle for an SR9c ;-)

Smith & Wesson has several 1911 models with scandium frames. I used to own a S&W 1911PD Guniste Edition scandium framed Commander-size 1911 and the recoil felt remarkably mild for such a lightweight alloy frame.

I'd carry my Walker Colt repro. It may not be fancy, but I doubt anyone would try anything with that bulge under my coat :p And if they did, I wouldn't have to fire a live round, the muzzle flash would be enough to burn the hair off their eyebrows! lol.

that's a HORSE pistol, not meant for HUMAN BEINGS to carry- same as the COLT DRAGOONS- but i DO AGREE with your OBVIOUS AS POSSIBLE theory

Concealed carry with a full size pistol is simply retarded!

Tell us about your extensive experience with carrying concealed...obviously you must have been there and done that to come to such a firm conclusion.

I only have two or three years' experience myself...apparently that was not enough time to discover how retarded carrying a 1911 was. Although my experience was from outside of Canada...is that why I didn't figure it out?

1911s carry really well...at least for the first couple of years. Maybe they change after that? How long did you carry a full size pistol for and at what point did it begin to suck?

for me, it would be a 1911, simply b/c it's the gun i'm most familiar with- probably in an fbi tilt, just aft of the left hip- a pistol, carried there ,isn't obvious, and yet EASILY ACCESSIBLE- look in a MIRROR sometime- if you HAVE to carry forward, one of the armpits or inside the jacket front will do, but it should bethe FLATEST pistol possible, like a tokorev

M&P .45acp or my Sig 226 9mm but I have a few others that may make it out once in a while if I were so inclined to carry, which would be rare living in Canada.
