the whole concept of the practical firearms system rested on qualifing the individual, not the firearm- and it recognised military service as well as grandfathering those individuals that had previous training in that "class" of firearm be it rifle, pistol, shotgun or smg( we DO EXIST- EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE FEW OF US) basically, it was a card with your name on one side and a grid qualification ( beginner, advanced, instructor) for the type on the backside-it's a GREAT foundation and doesn't bring into play any of the prejudices of the current system-
as far as the what we've got now goes, i'd settle for getting my safe queens hunting again and standard cap mags- i might even give up standard cap mags to get the safe queens back into the field- and for those who want the full auto, unless someone else is paying for your ammo, you're going to become disenchanted with it VERY QUICKLY-
it's no fun going through a 50 round box of ammo that cost about 10 bucks back then in about 5 seconds , including a mag change-
