if i could spend a day in johns gun vault

It makes be upset that younger shooters will never have a chance to own phohibs, unless our "grandfathers" give them to us. Thanks, big government!

3k for a Dragunov that cannot be shot is a little high. Saw one here on the EE that went for 2k. Make a better deal John ;)

I just noticed this thread....
"Does anyone know why he is cleaning out his personal vault? "

In fact it is quite simple, I am 67 years old, I am semi-retired, my wife and I travel more and more every year.

My family is not interested in the collection so why not sell some off ?

We are selling about 80% of the toys, we will be posting more over the next few months.... More guns, more collectibles, more accessories, etc, etc....

Thank you for your interest,
John

SPECKFIRE;
The one I have is a real Soviet one, not one of the knock offs, everything is original and "as issued" Just like the one I gave to the war museum.

BLACKOUT;
The VZ-59 design was not approved by Ottawa, we did not continue the project....

John
Well you must be happy then the man incharge of the RCMP's firearms program got canned then.
Back to the thread topic. Did you happen to have any VZ58's with all wood furniture in you private collection up for sale? If so shot me a PM.

Good for you John and thank you for donating a piece of history to the museum. I've been passed that exhibit several times with my children and am glad that some people in Canada still have the heart to donate to a good cause.

John;

Thanks for selling me your mint, unissued 1935 Venezuelan mauser. I plan to keep it in pristine condition and pass it along to my son. I think I might also purchase one of your Zastava 22's. Is there a frequent flyer plan? :)

Well in fact we not only donated the SVD but about a dozen different AK-47s for their display as well as a few really oddball East block SMGs.
Yes we beleive in our war museum in Ottawa....

John

THE KURGAN;

That was a fine piece, it can only increase in value over the years. That was when they made real rifles, all wood and metal....

Drop me a note so we can discuss further your anticipated purchases.... john@marstar.ca
