If one cuts a 28" barrel down to 18.5" do you end up with a cylinder bore choke?

Yes. No choke whatsoever.

You should be able to add a removable choke system if you want

Yeah the barrel is cut. Just wondering if it's the same as say a factory 500 18.5 barrel with what they call cylinder bore.

It is. Cylinder is no reduction

I have cut a few barrels down then had them threaded for remchokes. Cost is low, $60 I think.
