If you can get one, do it. Thing is pure awesome to shoot off. Really neat little smg.
As for the suomi, read a few reviews on it first before buying one.

I just got a great deal on a used Vz-58 Carbine off the EE, though I imagine you have some 858's or variants already.
If you want to be wild, put it away and buy a BD44 when you have enough. I cycle through my rifles on a daily basis so I don't get locked into one manual of operation and I find the BD44 is the easiest to remember and get back into pattern with. It also is the easiest rifle to get the irons onto target quickly and with the least fine adjustment of your position. I'm only comparing irons of the VZ, AR and M14 against it however.

I don't think the t97 will be like the other reproduction that norc makes because its their own RND and its their weapon for the military. I know the nsr 97 isn't the previous version that got rcmp rapped but those ones were very accurate. I have high hopes of it being a success as long as they don't cost more then 1k.

No, they are the newer imports and that the straight stock is harder to use irons and they seem to come with a top cover rail.
2 grand... well I know you said tavor out, but really why not wait a little bit more and get one, I'm in love with mine, best 2700$ spent on a firearm in my life.

I had a suomi and its heavy and seems flintstonish right up until you shoot it than you forget all of that and its a fun heavy little sucker the trigger on the first shot is heavy but again it all goes away really quick, you will love it!!
