if i had 1000$ for a 7mm what one should i buy?

A Steyr is a remarquable rifle of the bat with cheap ammo it will shoot MOA and often better, my 7mm Steyr Prohunter is a safequeen, once a year i get 20 rounds out of it, Federal bue box, i dont think this rifle ever shot over MOA with this ammo, a Steyr rifle is never to be sold, it is a jewel... JP.

What's your 338 LM in for a rifle, I might be interested in a trade, I've got a very nice Rem 700 CDL in 7 RUM with loads worked up for 160 ABs shooting sub moa. PM me if this interests you.

As I stated before, STW or a RUM, STW being my personal fave, the RUM is too far into diminishing returns and doesnt have much if anything over the STW. He asked about a 7mm for long range, the rem mag is a decent round, but the two I mentioned have LR in spades.

I could be wrong but I thought he was asking about chambering and not rifle models.

Finding a new rifle chambered in 7 STW will not be as easy as finding one chambered in 7 mm remington mag .... also 7 RM ammo is available pretty much everywhere and the chambering is a decent long range round.
Unless the OP is reloading, I'd recommend the 7 RM in a Rem. 700, win. M70, Tikka T3, Sav 110/116, etc, etc.
