Sig 226 is an excellent piece. Then buy an x-change kit in 22, 357sig, 40. Started with a CZ75 which is also a great gun but upgraded to the 226 (better fit and balance in my opinion) and never looked back. Now have a 220 and 239... Sig must be doing something right!!!

SIG p226 EE...infact that Is my first gun but i got it in .40S&W. And i just ordered the .22LR conversion kit for it.

SIG P226 Enhanced Elite 9mm...or M&P 9mm + M&P .22 ?

New shooter....not really concerned about DA/SA vs striker fired, too new to care either way...not overly concerned with ammo cost, but do "get it" .22 gives you a lot more time on the trigger per dollar spent.

A bit of a "buy quality once...instead of cheap 3x more" kind of guy...also a bit of a nostalgic fool...would kinda like to keep the first till I die.

What do you guys think ?

If I had the cash right now to afford the Sig, I'd get the Sig. I have and LOVE my M&P, but I will one day (hopefully soon) have a P226 to go with it. Honestly I say you need to get both.
