If Norcs are a cheap crap, what does that make NEA?

Great news! I have carried out a risk assessment of the aerodrome (where the magpies are causing a hazard to the aircraft) and I will be able to engage and neutralize magpies with my 12.5", suppressed, NEA AR-15. I am waiting for my scope rail as my shots will be stretching out to 150m easily. No worries, my NEA will easily deal to the magpies at this range. I will be using Hornady 55gr VMAX factory ammo. This ammo has been grouping at .75" at 75m (with Bushnell TRS25 Red Dot) so I am confident that with a high quality variable scope (have not chosen which one I will be mounting yet...) I can take out the threat(s). Do i love my NEA? Roger that. Is it accurate, reliable and damn fun to shoot? Roger that. Have I had any failures? NEGATIVE.

Don't hit any hobbits or flying dragons...

Could someone please explain this FREE USP shenanigan?
Must have either missed it or be from before my join.

Also I agree with your second point.

Ah, the period known as shill-gate. NEA were found to be using multiple accounts to boost their wares - a perhaps not uncommon practice. USP got caught in the crossfire and got banned.
Still lots of hurt feeling around here about that, as you can tell.

Being in New Zealand I do not fully understand what NEA were up to, but it sounds like they were aggressive in their sales tactics. Some folk must have felt aggrieved by this, but the end result is the NEA brand and products are now internationally available, bought, respected and I will bet a ice cold Molson that they will be in the "game" for awhile to come. Well done NEA, he who dares.......wins.

If Norcs are cheap crap, then NEA ARs are Cadillacs. Yes the finish quality is that much different. I don't know how any normal person can handle and look at both rifles in person and say that they're the same. Not even close.

I guess like previously mentioned, those that hate NEA will forever hate them (for whichever reason they are hung up on). Otherwise, their current generation of ARs seem to be holding up pretty well. The only trouble now, of course, is the influx of sub-$650 American ARs that are widely available. If NEA wants to remain competitive I think they may have to drop the MSRP to somewhere close (maybe around $700 since it comes with a quad rail) to stay in the game.

As for Norcs... no issues or complaints for the ones I had in the last couple of years when all other ARs were $1000+. However, I personally don't see a point in buying a $600 Chinese AR now when you can get American ones for $50~100 more. A good price for Norcs now would probably be in the $400~ $450 range, like the M305s.

It wasn't a sales tactics thing. It was an attempt at damage control.

No Roos in NZ? Mate, I have shot more Wallabies than I care to remember- now wallabies are much smaller kangaroo type animals but they count as a 'roo anyway! They are a plague down in the South Island. But back to NEA vs Norc- Norcs' sell for ONE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS and so do NEA's. The winner is clearly the NEA with the flat top, better forend and far higher build quality. Based on my experience, the reliability and accuracy are the same. NEA all the way.

Have a 12 inch NEA about 800 rounds works great no hick-ups so far, to be honest bought it because it was Canadian and knew parts would not have to cross any borders .
