The last time around there was no compensation (it wasn't just the SPAS-12, they grabbed Feather AT-22's, AT-9's, Steyr AUG's, and those cool little pistols with the wind up 50 round magazines - forget what they were called) You were told you WOULD call the local PD and they would come and pick it up, or you could drop off the firearm at your local gunshop and get a receipt, then the police would pick it up from there. Forget rational and reasonable. I was told by one of the guys doing the "chasing down of some loose ends" (a guy who had bought a $2600 Steyr AUG and wasn't jumping to be first in line to give it away) that they would not accept a stripped receiver, he figured that they would just get a court order for the rest of the gun, and then if it wasn't turned over have the guy jailed for contempt of court, for as long as it took. My view of law enforcement (for which I take a lot of criticism and even get infractions here) changed permanently that day, up until then the vast majority of my friends were LEO's, no longer. Confiscation IS real and it IS wrong, always was, always will be.
if ever they come get one of mine ill give it to them no issues.... but it'll be barrel bent in half and squished receiver... at which point it will cease to be a firearm and then they will have come out for nothing lol.
try and sue
you have NO property rights in canada
And better have several hundred thousand dollars available as well, since even if you win the first round, they will apeal it all the way to the SCC, and they have lots of lawyers on salary, paid for by you with your tax dollars.

I think you're referring to the Calico M950 pistol, as the Calicos were named in the confiscations.
