If you could buy three shotguns for hunting, what models and calibers would you choose?

In no particular order....

A 1960s or 1970's Remington Wingmaster in 12 gauge. Works every time.
A 1950s Browning Superposed in 20 gauge with 26" barrels.
A classic English sxs game gun in 12 gauge, preferably from between 1900 and 1939.

The only readily available caliber in shotguns is .410.
The other readily available shotguns are in gauges...

For hunting my choice would be a quality 12 gauge 2&3/4 and 3inch 12 gauge semi auto 28 inch with the over bore Invector choke system

OP-if hunting is your goal, maybe get a better sense of what you want to hunt and where....then ask what the best gun (gauge, action, make) is best suited to it. Every shotgun gauge and the 1 shotgun caliber are all capable hunting options in the right situation, so your question might be a bit too open-ended to get a meaningful response?

I doubt the OP is a real person.
Yeah, AI trying to find and answer to a subject that's new to it...

Still, I'll play.
- a shorter barrel British double, like a E.J. Churchill XXV
- a somewhat longer barrel French Darne or Prussian Daly... because you need some sort of continental gun.
- and finally, a nice single... just because.

Ignoring the upset of the possibly accidental use of the calibre word in hopes of avoiding piling on a noob, I would have my assortment of side-by-sides and over-unders in 12 and 20 gauge, adding a similar gun in 28 G just because I don't have one but want to join the cult.
