if you could only have one rifle for hunting what would it be?

for me it would be any reliable, accurate, lightweight, left-hand bolt action rifle with a quality 3-9x40 in 308, or 30-06. I'm hoping all of this combination will be found in my new tikka t3. I haven't fired it yet though.

These threads make my brain hurt, lol.

Currently I'm happy with the .243.
If I needed longer range then the .270 would be my next choice... For my hunting needs.

YMMV.

I guess it depends where you live, since the terrain and game you are going to hunt would influence your choices along with the amount of money that you could afford to spend. I currently have 308 bolt action and a 45/70 lever action

Tough Call, I have several rifles, that could potentially be "the one"
Sako 75 Deluxe in 300WSM, high potential, or my next build Sako 75 Grey Wolf in 7WSM.
If I could have only one though, I think I would stick with a beauty nice wood stock, so I will say Sako 75 Deluxe, Krieger Barrel (blued), 7 WSM. To me a rifle must have nice wood, and blued barrel to be a true beauty.
Each to your own.

Either the one in the middle, BRNO 602 .375 H&H or the one on top, BRNO 600 30-06 Springfield.

T/C encore 7mm rem mag ...single shot ..the closest cal . to a 270 wsm ..T/C don't make 270wsm barrels so the closest choice was the 7 mm rem mag .. very satisfied with the BARNES 140 gr bullet ..
