If you could only have one

Nice, this thread again.

Ruger GSS for me, built like a tank and won't rust. Accurate enough for 3-400yard hunting and can drop anything in N. America

Larger calibers are a waste of time and money when all you need is a 150 - 180 grain TSX bullet to drop anything that walks on this continent.

I believe I mentioned at the beginning that I figured this had been posted before. Again love the dialogue and pics. I have a lot to debate with my friends now over the camp fire. Thanks everyone for contributing and pics. Keep it going, if you want to

My current go-to rifle is a Vangard .300 WM...tad bit fixed up.

However, if I can ever afford it, the one on my wish list is an HS Precision SPL in .270 WSM...although .270 Win. would certainly do the trick very nicely.

Like most of us it is a toss up.

My Tikka M695 in 7mm mag. It has been my go to for years now and can be loaded to handle any NA game.

My Savage 7X57. This gun is awesome in another awesome caliber. A little less power than the mag but light weight and accurate.

My Sako m75ss 300WM with 180gr Accubonds topped off with a Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10x40 scope !!!! IF I had to choose only 1 rifle. Good for all NA game...can load up 200gr bullets should be needed.

Was my goto only rifle from 1997 till 2004/05 then the rifle bug hit.

Man I hate you for making me choose.....my wife would like you thou............lol.

IMHO it's more important that the ammo (or reloading components) are still in production then the rifle.

They're one and the same, you can machine both parts. The Rangers use 303 Enfields, while the ammo is still is mass production the parts are not, and it's making their lives very difficult.

My 1903 Manlicher Shcoener 6.5x54 carbine as long as we stay iin North America, but if going to Africa it would be my BRNO 602 358Norma Magnum rifle! Cheers Dale Z!!!
