If you could only keep one hunting rifle

That's a tough one but I think I would go with my Mauser 98 in 9.3X62-for now.

My .280 Remington. I've bought and sold several rifles in the 15 years since I bought it, but that one has stayed put. It's a bit much for groundhogs and 'yotes, but it'll do everything else I want to do. I have no interest in bison or grizz.

Prolly keep this M-70 Classic in 264WinMag.Groundhogs to Moose.
If I wasn't affected with a calibre restriction in my area,I'd likely go with my M-70 in 7mmRemMag,but I am so therefore I gotta go with the 264.

My marlin .44 mag would handle anything worth shooting quite nicely. If you can't do it with 10 240 hardcast slugs its not worth doing.
If you can't do it with 10 240 grainers, God probably meant it to die of natural causes and nothing else!;) :D

Man I hope I never have to make that choice. It would be a hard choice between my marlin 444 and my 270 stevens/savage.

I'd probably go with the 270 because it's more suited to reaching out there for yotes, and I can buy up a bunch of barrels in other calibers for it. One switch barrel rifle in calibers from 204 Ruger to 300 Win. Would that be cheating? :p

If I had to give it all up from what's in my vault, I'd keep the 300 WSM. It'll drop anything in NA. If I could only have one for all use this continent & others, I think a 325 WSM would do the trick.

Easy, 99R in 308 or 358, not sure which, have to flip a coin.

Nothing in North America I couldn't take with one of them.

You have a 99 in 358, and I don't. I hate you.;) ;)

It would be a hard choice...either my very early Win Mdl 70 30-06, serial # 36X, or my later pre-64 375 H&H. Both have been in the family for a looooong time. I guess it would be the 30-06, just because it is the oldest family member.
