What shotgun would you use for an all-around gun IF semis and pumps were prohibited?

If the anti gunners get rid of pumps and semis as they have in other countries, what would be your all-arpund go-to hunting shotgun?

I'd pick a double barrel side-by-side as I've always like the look and feel of them - although I've only shot clays with them, and not very well.

If I couldn't afford a double barrel I'd shoot a single. Bolt shotguns are fun, but the Mossberg clip-fed series are too slow to reload, and I'm not sure if the older models with tube mags, like the H&R 348s and those old cross-bolt shotguns (which are fast to shoot, supposedly) are safe for steel.

What about lever actions?

Pumps and semis are outlawed in Australia. Apparently Norinco makes a 1887 lever reproduction that's quite popular down under

What if they outlawed carZ and truckZ? Would you drive a semi, ride a bike or walk? I don't need anything to be outlawed and even want to think about it, but I sure would not choose a single, even a P gun.

I have o/u, sxs, semi and pump. Each has a specific and important purpose. I don't want to lose any of them. Instead of even contemplating what I'd do if it ever happened I'd rather devote my efforts to making sure that it doesn't.
